Hockey West Island (HWI) is excited to welcome 400 feet hockey as its Technical Team. Headed by Marc André Elément, OUA Head Coach of the Year (2024-2025), Head Coach of Concordia University men’s hockey program for the past nine years, and certified Hockey Canada High-Performance Coach, the team brings with it extensive coaching experience — from working with former professionals to minor hockey participants. With strong communication skills and player development backgrounds, the team has a wealth of experience and knowledge in youth development and is committed to creating a positive and enriching atmosphere while nurturing players’ skills, a team-first mentality, and a love for the game.

Working alongside Elément will be:

PATRICK DROLET, Assistant Coach Concordia University men’s hockey program and Hockey Canada High-Performance Certified.
 
HUGO VINCENT, Head Coach of Concordia University Division 2 men’s hockey program, Hockey Canada High-Performance Certified, Current Hockey Lac St-Louis referee elite staff director, and Assistant Coach at Collège Français Junior AAA (2021-2022).
 
JESSE GOODSELL, Hockey Canada High-Performance Certified, Hockey West Island Coach, private skills development coach, former Concordia University defenceman, QMJHL and European pro experience, and former Assistant Coach Concordia University men’s hockey program (2015 to 2020).
 
JAGUAR LAWRENCE, is a versatile hockey coach with a strong background in player development, skating technique, and small-area games, built through experience across youth programs and competitive levels.

GIOVANNI CARISTO, A coach with extensive experience in youth hockey development across Montreal. Giovanni has coached with Loyola High School, Laval Academy, and the Laval-Montréal Amazones M18 AAA (W) teams, as well as the Montréal Nationals M15 AAA team.

ANDREW MILLER, Known for his strategic acumen and commitment to developing young athletes. As a longtime coach with HWI, and as head coach of the St. Thomas High School U15 and U18 boys’ hockey teams, he combines a deep understanding of the game with a player-focused approach, fostering skill, discipline, and leadership both on and off the ice. 

ILIA EJOV (goalie coach), is a Russian-born goaltender who began his career in the QMJHL with the St. John’s Fog Devils before advancing to the KHL for fourteen years, where he played for teams including SKA St. Petersburg, Lada Togliatti,
